Hello junior-aged children and your adults,
We hope you have been enjoying our 'Nile to Nebo’ series. Don’t forget to send us photos for our gallery of any craft you do in response to the teaching. The person to send them to is Adam, who has taken over from Heather in helping to teach children at Cornerstone. Adam’s email is: adam.heaton@cornerstonechurch.org.uk
Over the Summer, instead of separate children’s work (such as Sparks Praise and Nile to Nebo) our online services will be All-Age. Beginning on Sunday 19th July, we will be doing a series called Power and Prophets looking at Elijah and Elisha.
Each service will contain a kids’ slot and there will also be suggested activities for children of different ages to do during the sermon time. The activity ideas will be up on the website in advance so do take a look here before the Sunday.
We are missing you and hope to see each of your faces before too long!

Grape Structures! Using grapes and cocktail sticks you could create an artistic, architectural structure. Maybe you could try and make it as tall as possible or as strong and secure as possible or as creative as possible. You could do this to help you remember our story and remember the amazing fruit that the spies brought back from the land of Canaan. |
Moses Storyboard
To remember all the we have been learning about in the past seven weeks you could create a storyboard. Can you remember some of the key things that have happened in our story of Moses?

Glowing Face Painting!
To help you remember how holy God is you could do some face painting to make your face glow like Moses’s face did after being in the presence of a Holy God.
Tabernacle Tents
You might even like to put up a tent or den in your house or outdoors to remind you of the special tent that God's people made for Him to live in among them. Or you could build a model out of Lego.

How are we different from God? And how does this affect our relationship with Him?
What does our memory verse say about how we can have a relationship with God, our Father?

Manna Challenges
These Manna challenges will hopefully remind you of the manna that God provided for his people. Both of these challenges involve popcorn which resembles the Manna.
Manna Catching
Ask another member of your household to throw individual pieces of popcorn at you. Try to catch the popcorn in your mouth. See how many pieces you can catch in a row without dropping any.
Manna Collecting
Spread a table cloth or sheet on the floor. Then sprinkle popcorn or cereal all over it. Try to pick up all of the popcorn or cereal without eating any of it. Can you do this? How quickly can you do this?

You could do a Passover craft to remember how God rescued his people from the 10th plague.
Use a piece of paper or a piece of cardboard. Draw a door and using a red pen or red paint put red around the outside. Cut along the right side and the top of the door so that you can open and close it. Leave enough space for a box at the top of your craft. Write something in the box that you remember about the Passover or something that you have learnt today about God.

Why don’t you recreate the burning bush. You could choose one of these three crafts to copy.
For the first, you will need paper, scissors, brown, red, orange and yellow paint. Draw around your hand and paint it in brown to create the base of the bush. Then cut around your hand and stick it onto a plain piece of white paper. Using red, orange and yellow paint use your fingertips to print leaves onto the bush. Do so until there are lots of burning bush leaves covering it.
For the second you will need a plastic cup, some orange and yellow tissue paper, some glue and a black marker pen. Cut around the top of the cup, removing the rim. Then cut the yellow and orange tissue paper into strips with a spikey flame shame cut into the end. Glue the strips of tissue paper to the inside of the cup so that the spikey ends come out of the top of the cup. Finish by writing "Here I am" or "I am who I am" on the cup to remember that God has always existed and that he will always exist.
For the third, you will need some paper, colouring pencils, red, orange and yellow tissue paper and some glue. Draw a tree without any leaves on a blank piece of white paper and colour it in brown. Once you have done this scrunch up small pieces of tissue paper and glue them to the tree to create the burning bush leaves. Do this until the bush us full of leaves.
